Fall 2008 Art Decorating Trends
Whether it's the sheer number of choices available, the fear of expressing yourself creatively, or just being unsure where to begin, there are many reasons why you might feel less than confident in your decorating abilities.
DECORATING A BEDROOM
Many people consider the bedroom to be one of the most important rooms in the home. A bedroom can be anything from a simple place to get some sleep to a sensual place to retreat and relax, away from the strains of the rest of the world.
Room decoration is not just about making a room look pretty. Decorating a room is a personal expression of someones tastes and attitudes, in fact, an extension of oneself. The room's décor can make it functional, pleasing to the eye and an enjoyable place to be in. The most overwhelming aspect of room decoration is deciding where to begin.
I find that the best way is to decide which style of room that you want this bedroom to be, you can find a list of decorating styles at our styles page. Once you have decided which style you want to use the next step is choosing which furniture no longer belongs in this room and if the current colors fit your wanted style.
When decorating your bedroom try to decide how much space you will need in the room and remember not to overcrowd the room with soft fluffy toys and large drawers. Your bedroom is a place where you retreat to rest so it has to be a peaceful room, one of my favorite things to place in my bedroom is candles as well as special lighting arrangements.

Choosing the Color
When you are choosing the color of your room take into consideration the types and colors of furniture will be in the room as well as what are the typical colors for that style of room.
